According to the data of the National Statistical Committee, 3,066 farm enterprises are registered in the Republic of Belarus as of January 1, 2017. 2,531 of these farm enterprises conducted their business.
In 2016, 171.3k ha of farming lands (2% of the total area of these lands of the Republic) was settled on the farm enterprises, including 122.4k ha (2.2%) of plowing lands.
The farm enterprises accounted for 2.3% of the number of employees engaged in the agricultural branch and 1.9% of the output of agricultural products at the farms of all categories, including 3.6% of the plant products and 0.4% of the livestock products.
The farm enterprises produced agricultural products for BYN 291 million in current prices in 2016, which is 14.6% more in comparable prices than in 2015.
The farm enterprises harvested 151.4k tons of grain or 2% of the total output at the farms of all categories, 347.1k tons of potato (5.8%), 346.7k tons of vegetables (18.3%), 90.6k tons of sugar beet (2.1%), and 43.8k tons of fruits and berries (6.2%).
As of the beginning of 2017, there were 14.9k head of cattle (0.3% of the total livestock at the farms of all categories), 30.7k head of pigs (1%), 119.1k head of poultry (0.2%), 17.6k head of sheep and goats (11.1%), and 0.7k head of horses (1.3%) at the farm enterprises.
In 2016, it was produced 19.1k tons of milk (0.3% of the total output at the farms of all categories) and sold 11.2k tons (0.7%) of cattle and poultry for slaughter in carcass weight.
