The Belarusian Regulations for FEZs were changed. It is stipulated by Resolution No. 184 of the Council of Ministers of Belarus dated March 9, 2017 on Alteration of Resolution No. 657 of the Council of Ministers dated May 21, 2009 that entered into force on March 14, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.
The requirements to the investment project regarding the volume of investment in implementation of the investment project of the economic entity pretended to be registered as the FEZ resident are reduced from EUR 1 million to EUR 500 thousand provided that this legal entity will invest within three years from the date of conclusion of the FEZ agreement.
The investment threshold lowering will allow increasing a number of new residents, using unclaimed areas and creating new jobs, the Ministry of Economy notes.
